Personal Data

All information shared during sessions will remain confidential, except where disclosure is required by law or if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others. I will explain these exceptions in detail during your first session.

 In exceptional circumstances I may need to inform an appropriate professional. I will always endeavour to inform you prior to any breach of confidentiality.

I keep clinical notes in line with the Data Protection Act 2018. My insurance company asks me to keep notes for seven years, after which they are destroyed.

I keep notes relating to our sessions as per the BACP guidelines. Personal data will be handled in accordance with GDPR and BACP guidelines. Records are securely stored and only accessible by myself. I am registered with the ICO.
